Sir Julian Horn-Smith is a British businessman who is a member of the boards of a number of international corporations and advises others. He was a member of the founding management team of Vodafone Group Plc and is considered one of the principal architects in the development of Vodafone’s International Strategy. He retired from the Vodafone Board in July 2006, where he held the title Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Frantz-Lys Cajuste has been active in the venture capital industry for more than 15 years. His focus is on managing international organizations in a global environment. He has extensive experience from working in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Franz-Lys has worked in Sweden since the late 90s and has broad knowledge of venture capital management in technology companies.
Hadar Cars is investment manager at Industrifonden. He has more than ten years experience in the field of technology investments. He has a telecommunications background that includes serving as general manager within the Ericsson Group, as president of Cellpoint Systems AB, and as a co-founder of Orange Sweden AB. Hadar holds an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Pål Malmros is an Investment Manager at Verdane Capital Advisors, where he has been instrumental in building and exiting a number of successful investments, primarily in the technology, media and e-commerce sectors. Before joining Verdane, Pål occupied various positions in the Scandinavian media house Schibsted, including that of Marketing and Business Development Director of hitta.se, one of Sweden’s most visited websites. He also has a background as management consultant at McKinsey & Company, and holds an MSc in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Bengt Nordström is the co-founder of Northstream (1998) and is since then the CEO of the company. He has previously held the position as CTO and Executive Director of Smartone in Hong Kong. Other management positions include Ericsson, Comviq and Netcom consultants. Bengt has also held a position in the Executive Committee of the GSM Association as well as chairing the GSM Association Asia Pacific Interest Group. Bengt is an acknowledged telecom industry thought leader that is frequently invited as speaker and moderator in conferences and strategy workshops.
Nils Granath is an entrepreneurial executive with 20+ years track record in the software and wireless industries. He is working as Head of Investments for TeliaSonera Group. Previous experiences include advising Netbreeze on its sale to Microsoft, managing a portfolio of technology investments for Swisscom, leading the entry of a Swisscom subsidiary into mobile device management, fundraising for a VC backed mobile Internet start-up, promoting and introducing digital mobile network technology in Brazil, and selling Ericsson’s first mobile system in Ukraine. Nils holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France as well as an MSc from Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden and ENSAM, Paris, France.
